The Science Park Limburg plc was established in 1989, with capital input of the government, the University Research Institutions and the private sector.
The objective of this plc. is double:- realizing a concentration area of high-tech oriented enterprises on the University Campus
- stimulate the cooperation of R&D between these enterprises and the research institutions on the Campus
In the long run, this should result in new developments, synergies and spin-offs.
For that purpose, the Incubator building was opened in 1992. This Business Centre aims mainly at starting high-tech companies: it offers in total 10 labs and 8 offices for hire.
All modules are equipped with separate heating, electricity and telephone.
